IGS & GGHI Research Featured in All Paws Industry
We are delighted to see the latest international research from the International Grooming Society (IGS) and the Global Groomer Health Initiative (GGHI) featured in All Paws Industry, one of the UK’s leading B2B publications for the pet industry.
The article highlights our newly launched international study:
Professional Groomers: What Do You Expect From Cosmetic Brands?
This research asks professional groomers around the world what they really expect from the cosmetic products and manufacturers they work with every day.
And for IGS and GGHI, this goes far beyond product performance.
Professional groomers are repeatedly exposed to shampoos, conditioners, sprays, fragrances and concentrated products throughout their working lives. Their expectations around ingredient transparency, occupational health, fragrance and allergen exposure, scientific evidence, education, ergonomics, sustainability and innovation deserve to be heard.
Bringing the groomer’s voice into industry conversations
The Global Groomer Health Initiative began by documenting the health and working-condition challenges experienced within our profession.
The next step is just as important:
What can the different parts of the grooming and pet industry actually do about them?
Professional cosmetics are one of the first areas we are exploring.
Through this study, we want to identify not only what groomers consider important, but also where there may be gaps between their expectations and what they feel the market currently provides.
The aim is to produce useful, independent data that can help manufacturers, educators, distributors, associations and other industry stakeholders better understand the needs of the professionals using these products every day.
Independent. International. Brand-neutral.
This is not a competition between cosmetic brands.
Participants are not asked to name the brands they use, like or dislike, and individual manufacturers will not be ranked.
The purpose is to understand the bigger picture: what professional groomers expect from the cosmetics sector and where opportunities exist to improve products, information, education and professional support.
Why media coverage matters
Seeing this research featured in professional pet-industry media is important.
Every article, every share and every organisation that helps distribute the study allows us to reach more groomers, across more countries, languages and professional environments.
And the more groomers who participate, the stronger the collective voice behind the final results will be.
We would therefore like to thank All Paws Industry for helping bring this research and the voice of professional groomers to a wider industry audience.
Now we need your voice
The international survey is open to professional groomers worldwide until 30 November 2026.
It takes approximately 10–12 minutes, participation is anonymous, and you do not need to be an IGS member to take part.
The findings will contribute to the international report:
PROFESSIONAL GROOMING COSMETICS 2027What Groomers Expect from the Industry
scheduled for publication in early 2027.
If you are a professional groomer, this is your opportunity to tell the industry what matters to you.
And if you are an association, school, educator, manufacturer, distributor, event organiser or other grooming-industry organisation, we invite you to help us share the study internationally.
Your experience matters. Your expectations matter. Your voice matters.
