Groomers Health Campaign 2026
Welcome to the official page of the IGS Groomers’ Health Campaign 2026, an international initiative launched by the International Grooming Society to bring visibility to the real health and wellbeing challenges faced by groomers across the globe.
Every day, groomers care for animals with skill, compassion, and dedication — but it’s time we ask: who takes care of the groomers?
Why This Campaign Is Essential
Grooming professionals often work in silence, with little recognition of the physical, mental, and emotional toll of the job. Through this campaign, we’re shining a light on critical but too often ignored realities:
-
Animal-related injuries and trauma
-
Musculoskeletal disorders and chronic pain
-
Skin, respiratory, and auditory health issues
-
Chemical exposure and allergic reactions
-
Heat stress, hydration, nutrition, and fatigue
-
Mental health, burnout, and emotional strain
-
Hormonal and reproductive health risks
-
Risk of chronic illness, infections, or cancer
-
Isolation, lack of support, and professional stress
No topic is taboo. This campaign is about honesty, visibility, and solutions.
