Paw pads & road salt: keeping feet comfy in winter

In winter, paws take the first hit: cold, snow, road salt and tiny grit can irritate the delicate skin between the pads. A gentle routine works best. When you get home, run lukewarm water over the paws to dissolve salt and dirt without rubbing. Then blot dry with a soft towel, including between the toes, so moisture doesn’t stay trapped. Finish with a thin layer of protective balm to nourish the skin and leave a light film that helps on the next walks.
