This professional development course explores how relaxation techniques support both the physical and mental health of animals, especially within grooming, handling, and care environments. Participants learn to recognize signs of stress and anxiety, understand the physiological and emotional effects of relaxation, and apply gentle, science-based methods to improve the comfort and cooperation of animals during care. 🧠 What You’ll Learn By the end of the program, participants will be able to: - Identify stress and anxiety behaviors in dogs and cats - Understand the physiological impact of relaxation on the body (muscles, circulation, digestion, immunity) - Apply safe relaxation techniques such as massage, aromatherapy, and calming sound environments - Create an emotionally balanced and sensory-friendly grooming space - Strengthen the bond of trust between animal and professional - Promote ethical, low-stress care practices in daily grooming routines This course is valued at 30 credit points toward the IGS Professional Development Certificate. To maintain the certificate or their IGS certification, professionals must validate 100 points per year.
