Global Groomer Health Initiative

Partner FAQ

What is the Global Groomer Health Initiative?

The Global Groomer Health Initiative is an international, evidence-based program led by the International Grooming Society (IGS).

Its purpose is to document real working conditions in the grooming profession and to develop long-term educational and preventive resources to support groomers’ physical, mental, and occupational health worldwide.

The initiative is built on large-scale data collection, independent analysis, and professional education—not marketing or product promotion.

Why does IGS work with partners?

To remain independent, accessible, and sustainable, the initiative relies on ethical partnerships with organizations that acknowledge groomer health as a professional issue and wish to contribute constructively to industry-wide progress.

Partners help finance research, educational resources, and awareness actions while respecting the initiative’s scientific integrity and non-commercial positioning.

What does “IGS Engaged Partner” mean?

The IGS Engaged Partner status identifies organizations that:

  • recognize groomer health as a serious occupational concern,

  • actively support improvement, education, or awareness,

  • contribute transparently to the Global Groomer Health Initiative.

This status does not imply certification, endorsement, or validation of all products or services.

It reflects engagement, responsibility, and willingness to progress—not perfection.

Does partnership mean endorsement of products or brands?

No.

IGS does not certify, approve, or endorse commercial products or services through this initiative.

Partner recognition indicates support for groomer health actions, not product validation or promotional claims.

All educational content and health recommendations remain independent and evidence-based.

How are partners involved in the initiative?

Depending on their profile and expertise, partners may:

  • financially support the initiative,

  • participate in knowledge-sharing discussions,

  • contribute to awareness actions,

  • support educational resources or preventive campaigns.

Partners do not influence study outcomes, data interpretation, or scientific conclusions.

What visibility do partners receive?

IGS Engaged Partners may receive:

  • official recognition on the IGS website,

  • inclusion in initiative-related communications,

  • visibility aligned with their category of activity (brand, school, service provider, etc.).

Visibility is informational, not promotional, and follows strict transparency guidelines.

Can partners access the study results?

Yes.

Partners receive access to:

  • a detailed summary of the Global Groomer Health Study,

  • a comprehensive white paper explaining the findings and professional implications.

The full analytical report is reserved for internal use, researchers, and IGS-led educational development.

How is data integrity ensured?

All data is:

  • collected anonymously,

  • analyzed independently,

  • used exclusively for research, education, and prevention.

Partners have no access to raw data and no influence over results, interpretations, or publications.

Is this initiative global?

Yes.

The Global Groomer Health Initiative is international by design, involving groomers from multiple countries, languages, and working contexts.

Educational resources are developed to be adaptable to local regulations and professional realities.

Who can become an IGS Engaged Partner?

Eligible partners include:

  • brands and manufacturers,

  • grooming schools and training centers,

  • distributors and service providers,

  • organizations aligned with professional health and safety.

All partnerships are reviewed to ensure alignment with IGS values and ethical standards.

How can an organization apply to become a partner?

Organizations interested in supporting the Global Groomer Health Initiative can contact IGS directly to request the Partnership Framework and discuss alignment, expectations, and conditions.

Partnership discussions are exploratory and non-binding until a formal agreement is established.

Does this partnership involve commercial obligations?

No sales targets, product placements, or promotional obligations are required.

The initiative prioritizes education, prevention, and professional sustainability over commercial outcomes.
